Loving My Life

Do you ever stop to think about everything that you have, and about what you don't have? I do. There is so much to be thankful for. The Lord will never give you more than you can handle, but he does want you to appreciate life. 

I am a lucky person. I have 3 beautiful children. I have an awesome husband. Through everything, we are a family going strong. There are always ups and downs, but I'm thankful for everything we have went through. 

Absolutely, I am thankful for the family support of my 2 private businesses. I wouldn't be where I am with BeautiControl and BodyByVi, without their support. I am grateful. 

I'm thankful for my clientele. For giving me just one chance to come out, and show them a nice relaxing time with BeautiControl. Results are instant to see that night. They are amazed by how much of a difference the product works exactly how I state it does. I'm grateful to call them my friends, and for being a part of my BeautiControl Sisterhood. 

I'm thankful for everyone who has joined BodyByVi with me. Together we are getting healthier, and we are working endless days to get our children to understand that obesity is a problem. It's never a good idea to be above your BMI index. Nothing makes me happier to not only call them my friends, but a part of my family. 

The small things mean more to me than anything. Not taking each day for granted. Appreciating every little thing I have. Appreciating the people in my life. 

I hope that this makes someone think, and reflect on how much they have. Not about what they don't have. If you have dreams, they can come true. You have to work for those dreams. You have to have faith that your hard work, and the appreciation for others in order for dreams to be reality. 

What are your dreams? What will you change to make them happen? I cannot ask for anything more in my life, because I have dreams. I appreciate today's life, and work towards my dreams. What about you?

Pampering

Everyone needs to be pampered. However, the solution is cost savings. For example: I pampered myself and my husband on products that I have had with one refill over a 12month period. Listen up, because we all need to take a day, sit back, and pamper ourselves. Why? Today's world. I'll explain.

Yesterday, I called my husband and asked what time he would be home. Told him we were going to pamper. He said that sounded good. We have both been working over time, and these days, times are different. 

With winter quickly upon us. It's time to stay on top of your skin. Skin is your first line of defense. Keep it moisturized, and wash your hands frequently. Use the Mani system so they don't crack open. Cracked skin leads to open areas retrieving those pesky bugs into the skin. 

I used the BC Exfoliating Body System, and Exfoliation Face System. All in the shower. Watch the dead skin fall off your body. Takes 15min to Exfoliate. 

As I dried off, I moisturized with Detox Body Creme. Get those toxins out of my skin, and wrapped up with a nice fuzzy warm body suit. Let my body Detox. 

While my body was Detoxing, I gave myself a Pedi. That included the Pedi Program, with the Creme for my feet placed and cling wrap around my feet and my W.H.O. Socks. While all wrapped up, before starting my Mani, I started showing my husband how to pamper himself. 

He likes baths. So I ran the bath water, placed in 2tsps of Detox and 2tsps of Therapeutic Minerals. He was sore and very cold from a hard days work. He lavished in the bath. 

I began my Mani. Simple process with BC that takes 5min. Taking off the dead, dry skin, from nursing all weekend. We have to wash our hands before entering and after leaving. Using the BC Hand Treatment daily. The BC Mani being used twice a week to keep my hands looking younger and free from cracking open. Then I applied the Extreme Hand Treatment. 

As my husband finishes up. He places on the BC Detox Body Creme. Wraps up in his robe, and we sit and visit over a beer. Letting our body just detox over a period of an hour. Today we are speaking on Health. 

Childhood obesity has both immediate and long-term effects on health and well-being.

• Children and adolescents who are obese are likely to be obese as adults11-14 and are therefore more at risk for adult health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, several types of cancer, and osteoarthritis.6  One study showed that children who became obese as early as age 2 were more likely to be obese as adults.12
• Overweight and obesity are associated with increased risk for many types of cancer, including cancer of the breast, colon, endometrium, esophagus, kidney, pancreas, gall bladder, thyroid, ovary, cervix, and prostate, as well as multiple myeloma and Hodgkin’s lymphoma.15

All my life I've been a big woman. I started being more conscious about my weight at an early age. It was my 8th grade summer. I'd been called every name under the sun. Teased at school every day. I was not only one of the tallest in my class, but big. All that teasing took a toll on my self esteem, and how I really wanted to be. So, I did the worst thing ever. Not knowing the health consequences that could come. I choose to be bulimic. Lost 60 pounds over the summer and thought I looked great. Didn't realize until I was 19, how badly I had damaged my body. Don't let your child come to this point. Here's why:

If not treated, bulimia can lead to serious, long-term health problems. It is common for people to hide the condition from others for years. By the time others discover the disorder, many people with bulimia already have serious problems. These range from mild to severe, depending on the type of purging behaviors and how long they have continued. Health problems caused by bulimia include:

• Tooth decay, toothaches, swollen gums, gum disease (gingivitis), and erosion of tooth enamel. These are caused by acid in the mouth from vomiting.
• Osteoporosis.
• Electrolyte imbalances and changes in metabolism that can lead to heartproblems, such as arrhythmia and even death.
• Dehydration, which can lead to weakness, fainting, or kidney damage.
• Inflammation or tears of the esophagus, which may cause bloody vomit.
• Swollen salivary glands.
• Fainting or loss of consciousness, usually because of low blood pressure.
• Abnormal heartbeat (arrhythmia).
• Low body temperature.
• Suicide risk when feeling discouraged about having bulimia or a relapse or about ongoing body image issues.
• Long-term problems with bowel movements because of laxative abuse.

Obesity is a disease. Kids these days are more harsh to each other than 23yrs ago. If you think your child doesn't have a mean streak to some nature. You are fooling yourself. The bullying is out of control! My children (the youngest two) are overweight. I just (this past month) due to BodyByVi, was able to get my youngest child to scale on the Pediatricians BMI vs Height. He's in the healthy range now.

Working Out

I've been awake sine 3:26am. I started out feeling tired until I made my Vi Shake. Unbelievable the stuff I have accomplished today. The energy just kicked in. I am just now, and 2:46pm, starting to wind down.  I'm due to drink another shake because I lost track of time. However:

Started out and stripped my daughters room, to where I came up with 20 loads of laundry needing to be done. Finding out that she just keeps buying clothes if she doesn't have something to wear. Frustrating, but I washed and folded all those clothes. Plus cleaned out her closet and re-did the entire closet in an order you can follow. Then, the bathroom.

The bathroom is shared by her and her brother. I've been asking them to clean it like I would. They haven't done it yet. So I got on my hands and knees, and mopped their floor. Changed out their trash. Bleached their sink and organized their items... Toothbrushes, floss, hair products, etc.... Then I bleached their bath tub and scrubbed it down with a Brillo pad from top to bottom. Next came the kitchen.

I swept and hand mopped the kitchen just like the kids bathroom. Got the dishes into the dishwasher. Scrubbed down the counters with bleach, and scrubbed the range good. 

Where did I get all this energy that I have never had before? From Visalus! The energy is just unbelievable! This is something I would have never done before BodyByVi. Why? I work 60 to 80 hours a week. Where could I have kept up with housework? Now! I can!

What Makes You Happy

Thinking back to being younger and having 3 kids by the age of 25.. Fat was all I saw about me. Past history of Bulimia. I didn't want to return to that way of staying thin, and it definitely wasn't healthy for me. 

I can tell you that getting divorced times 2 doesn't make it a healthy way to lose weight either. I was 130 pounds after my second divorce. I looked sick, and I wasn't healthy. 

5 yrs later. Married and he loves to eat. Making it difficult to stay away from the control to portion. Plus we both like to drink. Every night after work, a few drinks you would think wouldn't place that huge amount of fat upon you. Yes it does! 

So, it was time to take charge of my life. What was it going to take to make me happy? My health has changed for the worse, not the best. I had to get this under control.
