Summer/Fall Ready?

It's sad that as I sit here on my deck. Drinking a nice cold Mt Dew. How Summer has come to a close. I'm torn.

I LOVE Summer. I love the sun. I love the heat and the air that it brings. What I don't like, is the thought of the cold coming back, and it getting darker earlier. 

There is more pros than cons, as I make my list. Sitting here enjoying the warm breeze. Everyone worked hard to get their tan. Keep their weight off, and now? The changes of the seasons, and they Holidays will be quickly upon us. We cannot lose sight of us. We as a person.

Bullied Part IV

Lately we have been having issues with the busing system in the school district. Keep in mind that we have been here for 4 years, and all of a sudden... We have problems! 

As much as I will try to not make this racial. It may be difficult. My point, before I begin, is that kids are not all kids are obese because they are lazy, or just don't want to get out and play anymore. Grant, that this is one of our major issues in the USA. Obesity is a major topic of discussion. However, we are going to discuss my daughter, and how she has been bullied by several black girls on the bus. 

My daughter is heavy set. She just took after her family genes, can't help that to a degree. She is a hypothyroid. She's also been dealing with depression from the accident where she lost her best friend in her lap a year ago. So, my daughter is battling to opposite ends of a middle that is growing. 

My daughter takes Synthroid and Zoloft. She's active in ColorGuard and work. Not accounting for school. Here's where the BodyBiVi comes in.

2 days after school started. My daughter, keep in mind, does not ride the busin the AM. Due to ColorGuard practice being at 6:30am everyday. I work, have the car, and she has to ride the bus in the afternoon. She and her best friend get on the bus and are asked to assign themselves a seat. No problem right? They pic #26.. Upon writing their names on the assigned seat, these two black girls come back to the seat and tell my daughter and her friend to get out. My daughter, finding her voice. Says no. We assigned ourselves this seat. The two black girls go up to the bus driver. Basically threaten the bus driver, and scratch my daughter and her friends name off the seat chart and place theirs on it. The bus driver, wanting no problems, asked my daughter and her friend to move. Wrong in all aspects right? Not as far as the school is concerned.

Contacted the school and explained how my daughter and her friend would be carrying pepper spray and a taser if this continued. I finally get a phone call, after they speak to my daughter at school. And tell her that her assigned seat is #17.. Okay, solved right? Nope!

They get on the bus that afternoon, and here we go again. 2 friends of these other black girls in seat #26.. Tell my daughter and her gf how they need to get out of their seat. Once again, my daughter finds her voice. So, I call the school again. Now! All of a sudden the school doesn't want the TV crews out there even though this late incident on the bus ended between the girls with the 4 now black girls telling my daughter they will get her when she gets off that bus. 

So, lets talk about the comments that were made to my daughter. "She's a fat honkey bitch that doesn't even ride in the AM" "you fat bitch, you don't ride this bus all the time. You take a seat that's open when you ride" is this acceptable behavior now? I've not taught my kids to be racist. I've taught my children to love everyone, and accept people for who they are. 

After this last incident I've taken my daughter off the bus, and I've started her and I on the BodyBiVi. 2 shakes a day, and one sensible meal. Have 3 people join you and receive your next month product free. So, that's 3 months of free product. How can you go wrong? You can't!

Bullied Part III

PI was talking to my son tonight. If you have read my last two Bullying posts, this will make sense. 

As we were talking and walking around Barnes & Nobel, I see he picks up a book "Twisted".... Reading the cover of the book. It really angered me. Why would my want to read this? Interesting.

He told me that he is thankful for my help in getting his Acne under control. How he no longer gets made fun of about his Acne. How it use to be from his face down to his trunk and he no longer has to feel like he doesn't belong. For those that haven't read the book. I'd suggest getting the book "Twisted" and guiding your child through the book. Also, I highly recommend the movie Bully. It shows how cruel kids can be, and how we as parents can take just one small step to change things.

Love Your Nails?

Daring To Bare Challenge

Some people are just not comfortable in their own skin. What I have not completely understood is why? 

I know when I was younger, coming from a small town, and small minded people. They alone kept my self esteem low. Those people in my small town class have no idea what damage they did, nor cared about how they broke me down. Not until my 7th grade year. When I took it upon myself to take charge of myself. 

My mom was shy. My father was the cop of the town. I had no fighting chance right? Especially an over protective dad. I went for it! I decided to take charge of my body, and my life. Did I do everything the right way? No! Did I gain a voice and a body that I loved? Yes! Did I give myself the ability to be that natural person on those days when I felt it? Yes! Easy on the eyes and very pouty lip appeal? You bet!

Sun Burnt 24 Hours

Yesterday was a bad sunburn day. Posted my pic of my face... No, my body did not get burnt. It did however get darker. I'm definitely a nice chocolate latte... Loving it... Only because of BeautiControl. 

The first day we were in Clearwater, I used an accelerator. It's the only way my skin will remotely tan. Or I'm out there for the fun of it and get nothing. So, accelerator on, and I've got it going on. Little red, and it's gone by morning. Then we have our drive down to Siesta Key. Settle in and off to the beach I go. Yep! Burnt! However, no worries. I've got all my Skin Care products with me. I'm placing on my Pedi Creme, and Body Creme by BeautiControl. Next day it's nice and dark all over. Love my skin, and my husband can't believe it either. So, he asked, can you put that on me? Sure! 

Gave him the same treatment as myself and what do you know. He's a nice tanned man. He's definitely a ginger, and burns easy. But, I kept his skin safe and nourished. 

Today's follow up pic is awesome. Yes, just got up. But, I wanted to post the results. Retinol in our products is awesome. My face looks great! No peeling on my face, and it's ready for all that I have in store for it today.

Sun Burnt

So, today my husband decided we needed another day at the ocean... Yes. We wound up Sun Burnt! Lol, right?

Well, lets see how this works out for me with my BeautiControl... Not testing my products. I know they work. What I want to know is how much can it repair in 24 hours. 

So, I placed on my Microdermabrasion for Face, and because I took a plane. I didn't have my Abrasion Tool. So, I used a wash cloth. Wow! I don't know that this was smart. But, lets move forward. Removed the dead skin and took a shower. Toweled off easily, and placed on my Defend & Restore Lotion. Stung for 2 seconds, and then WOW! My face felt awesome. Placed on my makeup. Used my concealer, to hide the skin I couldn't get removed. It worked awesome! 

Came home from dinner. Dreaded to take off my makeup. Face just knew it was going to hurt. Lol... However, here I went.  

Made sure my wash cloth was lukewarm, and placed on my pea size drop of Purifying Cleansing Gel. Rubbed lightly over my face. Felt rough, but I furthered the dead skin off. Not all, but most. Placed on my Extreme Tight Firm & Fill for eyes and face. Wow! Sting heaven for about 5 seconds and then relief! It feels awesome! I then took our Retinol capsules and placed it on my nose and forehead. Here is what my face looks like now...

Beautiful You

Good Morning everyone. What a gorgeous Saturday morning here in Siesta Key, FL!! 

The sun is shining and their is a wonderful breeze on our patio deck. I believe today we will go to the ocean, relax, and I'm taking all my products to the beach to Spa... Why?

Some ppl are very interested in taking care of their skin. The sun causes damage and makes us age more quickly. So, who better to show how to not have sun damage to their skin, and still enjoy the sun, than those men/women on the beach.

Lip Apeel

I'm thankful this TGIF for BeautiControl and their famous Lip Apeel. I received much sun yesterday, and simply put? Dehydrated. I woke up at 2:44am EST, with one very swollen bottom lip... 

I immediately got up, and placed on my Lip Apeel, took off the dead skin, and put on the moisturizer. Thank goodness. I woke back up and my lip has gone down immensely! 

There was a lot of dead skin on my lips from the sun yesterday. Only moisturizing one time with BeautiControl Lip Balm with SPF 20, didn't help my case. So, back in my purse goes the LipApeel and it will be used frequently today. 

Jumping in the shower and then utilizing my BeautiControl Detox products to moisturize and rid some extra spots that got red. I'll be in great shape for what the day brings today.

Sun?

This week we are on vacation in Florida. We started in Clearwater, and have been in Siesta Key since Wednesday. Needless to say, the first day we retained a very warm, red body. Thank goodness for Detox Clarify Mask, and Detox Body Spray, and my facial program. Why do I say that?

The sun is very damaging to skin, when not appropriately exposed to, or enjoyed for the need of Sun. Our skin gets damaged, therefore, we need the Sun, but in the appropriate fashion.

Did you know that the sun gives us Vitamin D? Why do we need Vitamin D? Energy, rregeneration of skin cells, and re-production of blood cells. 

When you decide to stay out in the sun, be respectful to the Sun. Know what your limits are. One? Staying hydrated. When we drink items like beer and mixed drinks? We dehydrate more quickly. Alcohol, a product of wheat/barley giving us a natural diuretic, but dehydrating your skin. Giving your skin dried, wrinkled skin.

What about my feet? Wash & Rinse your feet. Soak in Therapeutic  Minerals, and place the foot salve on your feet. Wrap them up, with cling, wait 30min. Then rinse and place on the Detox body spray... Allow to dry, and feel the heat release.

Bullying Part 3

I just watches the movie Bully. I have posted twice before about my son who was bullied over his Acne. If you have not watched this movie, I highly recommend it.

Back when I was in school. I too was bullied. I was and have always been a big girl. Just my build. I didn't ask for God to create me or my children the way they are. However, God creates us all equal and in his eyes. 

I believe our children are gifts from God. I didn't have easy pregnancies, and I didn't have easy deliveries. However, I was old enough to make the decision to get married and 4 years later decided to have my first child. Each 2 years apart. However, I've brought my children up in Church, and knowing gods word. Unfortunately, this where our society has fallen short. 

I'm 41 years old. My youngest, the young gentleman I speak of, my son, is the topic. No longer bullied because I sought every avenue to help my son. What I'm asking of you. As a parent. Please have a relationship with your child that is one where they can come and speak to you. 

There are more of us, parents, that try to keep a very good, loving, caring home for our children. Whether you place God or Church in your home is your decision. I'm not hear to preach. Just want to express the concern.

My son watched this movie tonight. Explained to me how he was treated like most in the movie over Acne! Are you kidding me! Why? Let me explain. My son had a very reflective moment from my own childhood that has enraged me once again. 

As he explained. It comes a time, when you take it for so long, that you start being a bully yourself. Let me stop you there! Absolutely NOT! My child explains how he was punched, slapped and marked on because of his Acne. Nothing that was brought to my attention to this great nature. He said, "I felt mom, like you were embarrassing me by making it a point to call the school, have meetings, address those kids' parents. To the point where I needed to toughen up more." WRONG!

Parents are here to protect their children. We didn't go through 9 months of getting fat, being sick, and feeling the joy of being a parent, all to have our children treated this way by those parents children that don't care about their kids and what they do. Or the snobby parents that just give their kids whatever and have children who don't appreciate anything or have to earn what is given to them. 

Stand up and speak for your kids. At the end of the movie. My son looked at me and said, "mom, I love you. I'm thankful now for all that you did to help me. I've come out of my shell because of the products you have me on." I've been in tears since be hugged me and told me this. I never knew just now much my child was completely picked on. Now I know. 

So, I beg you, as a parent to stand up for your children. These children should never feel that they are worth nothing, just because some low life family doesn't take care of their own, or a snobby family who just keeps handing it over all for them to feel like they are better than mine. 

We are created equal. We are all Gods children, and we as parents should preach that into our children. It you don't believe in the Bible. That's for you. At least teach your child to be good, and descent to others. Treat others as you would want to be treated. That's what our children should know. 

To help those in need. For those that their parents are too uneducated, lets help them get educated. Remember, we can't help those who don't want to be helped. That goes for the rich, snobby parents who are too busy at their job functions to care about what they are "giving, just handing over" to their children to make sure they stay "out of their hair".... 

Parents, I urge you to speak up. Don't let this be your child. Children should NEVER see suicide as the resort. They day your child feels that? You need to have seen the signs before then. When they don't talk about school. When they become withdrawn. When they have bruises of unknown origin. When they wear long sleeve shirts in the summer, because they are cutting themselves to take away the pain. These are all the first signs.   

Please pay attention, and please do all you can. There are places you can go to get help. Take that help. Seek out the school and the local authorities. This must end. 

Stay in touch. Talk to your kids. You loved them enough to bring them into this world. Love them enough to care, and carry them through.

Sleep Much?

My Son Bullied

My son Lucius. Bullied for 2 years because he had severe Acne. Kids teased him everyday at school, to the point he was numb. I had to do something. The school was not taking any of my concerns serious.

Naked

Body Heaven & Happiness

It's been a good day today. Church with the family. Lunch after church with the family. Great sermon to reflect upon. (Couldn't have come at a better time) 

Sometimes we lose track of who we are and why we do some of the things we do. Like myself for instance. I'm a nurse, and I do Personal Spa Therapy at night, and on my days off. If you get down to my real thoughts? I'm a burnt out nurse, and I'm not doing this job anymore for the right reasons. When I Spa someone? I'm the happiest person ever! Why! Because I'm no longer doing what I love. BeautiControl is what I love. 

Lets get down to the real issue. Being a nurse and working 50+ hours a week is secure right? Working my private business is a repeat business of $1500 a month personally, not counting my commission. Either way? I'm doing okay right? Yes and No. Physically, I'm not capable of being a nurse for that many hours. With BeautiControl, I work 12 hours a week tops! And I'm happy! 

So, I've decided, after church today. I'm dropping down my nursing days, and focusing on BeautiControl. Its what makes me happy. Wouldn't you rather be happy? I do.

Love, a feeling we have daily. We either love something, or someone. Myself? I have both. I love my family, and my inner and outer beauty. 

I have not always felt, or been with Love. Happiness? Well, that came and went, daily. Until January 17th... It's been 8 months, and each day the word Love means so much more. 

Asking a question for you to just think about. "What would you do with an extra $100, $200, $300, or even a $1000 a week or month?" 

Love, do you love your job? Do you love money? If you don't like your job, ask yourself. Why do I work? Why do I keep going to the same job when I'm not happy? Switch the tables. You love going to your job! You love who you work for! But, you want more. We all do. 

Love, for me, is my inner and outer beauty. I didn't have self confidence for many years. I had many concerns to my weight and facial attraction. What I found out? I am not only beautiful on the inside,  I'm beautiful on the outside. I just had some issues I personally that I wanted to work on. So, I did!

Body Shine

My body has reached a whole new level of shine, and softness.. OMG! You just have to try this to realize what I'm talking about. And, YOU CAN!

MakeUp Do Wear & Don't Wear

Last night was date night with my husband. We are rock & rollers all the way. So, it was time to put on the look at work it last night for my hubby. Great night out! Buckcherry was awesome!

Running up against the clock, left the Spa bag, and my daughter takes off with the car. I'm running through my head, where is my extra BeautiControl makeup? Oh ya! I sold all my stock! Now what am I going to do!!!!

Without the option of my BeautiControl. I had to resort to my daughters makeup. Ugh! As a teen, she is not supportive of mom, in the respect of having your own business. So, she naturally spends money on items in the makeup category that are from Sally's or Beauty World, or WalMart...

So, I pull out her containers, and here we go. CoverGirl Foundation. Cakey, and not going on smoothly. Ugh! Then comes time for my eye shadow. She has nothing for shadow control. So, it's put on some cheap Dollar General Eye Shadow. Then it's time for eye liner, and she has this Loreal eye liner that you apply with a brush, that is not wanting to apply, nor apply right. Aggravated, and running up against the clock, as usual. My frustration is growing. Ending with Mascara, I am frantically looking for some primer to nourish my eye lashes.... NONE! I'm then mocking along to some black mascara... NONE!!!! By this time I'm above and beyond aggravation! I've done my best to make the Loreal, CoverGirl, and Maybeline work. I'm over it and just want to get going. 

On our way to the concert, my face starts itching. Not thinking too much about it, I watch where it's itching, and how I'm trying to just ignore it. So, I'm looking at my face in the car mirror. There is this oily sheen and my eye shadow is starting to  flake and it's not looking good. I'm getting upset quickly. I need my BeautiControl!!!

One Year to Now

A year ago, I was really trying every product over the counter to get rid of my wrinkles, crows feet and fine lines. Proof is in the pics.

Today, I received a phone call from a new client. Asked if I could come out after her work, and Spa her and a few friends. She said they had a rough day at work, and could use an hour of Spa time. 

This is what I do. If I don't already have a Spa on the books, I will come and Spa you, and/or your friends. This is a job, yes. However, a job with hours you set, and one that you just absolutely love from start to finish.
