Day 1

My first day of BodyByVi, and I did really good. I didn't cheat. I drank 64oz of water. For anyone that knows me. Water is not my forte. However, I did it! I'm proud of myself. You do have moments.

Tonight, while coming home from the football game, we are driving along, and all I'm seeing are Jack N Box, Arby's, Steak N Shake... I'm thinking to myself. Gosh! I'd love to have something to eat. But, I'm not hungry. I was good. I didn't stop and get anything. It was tempting! 

I made it! I thought to myself, I don't need that fast food. Why? Because its just that. Fast Food that full of FAT! So why ruin what I am desiring to accomplish? 

There's a higher sign to this. My husband was driving and he looked at me and said, "Babe, we set a goal. We can't make that goal if we eat from Fast Food joints." He's such a good motivation man. 

Remembering that it's only Day 1. We are 89 days away from the Challenge. When you really stop and think. 90 Days is not that long. What's 3 months of dedication, determination, to reach the ultimate goal. Which is....

Lose 30 pounds, feel more energetic, and love life more because I feel better. Not just physically but mentally about myself.

So! It's night time. I'm having my one snack, it's a Peanut Butter cookie from BodyBiVi. I feel good. I had the energy I needed to want to go after work and watch my daughters first performance on the football field. That's a accomplishment for myself. Day 2 tomorrow! 

Who Motivates You?

As I was sitting today, getting my nails done and my toenails done. Relaxing in the massage chair. I realized that my husband is who motivates me the most. 

I know that I'm newly married. I know that everyone is going to say, "oh that's just love talking." What no one knows? I have loved this man for 24 years. It just took us a little longer to figure out that we are suppose to be together. Him with one failed marriage. Myself with 2 failed marriages. The reality was that we loved each other so much, yet what took us so long. 

I have always been a person to never "need" a man. However, my husband is by my side even when he does get upset over things I try to work hard at. He may blow up here and there. Yet, he's still right there in the end. 

My husband has always been a man to workout daily. I noticed that he quit all that, 2 years after we started living together. I have wondered why for a while. Just never asked, until a month ago. His statement? "I just put my all into you in making sure you are cared for." Wow! That just made me cry. I've never ever had a man, who thought so much about me, to give up something he loves for me. I asked him to go back to doing what he loves. It's his way of winding down from his day. I believe we all need something to wind us down. Not always a drink (alcohol) should be the answer. Just my thoughts, as I will be the first to say that I'm just as bad to say, "where's the beer." After a long day of havoc. 

I had done BodyBiVi over a year ago. I lost 30 pounds in 30 days. Way before the 90 days was due. He noticed that, and now that I'm starting back. He wants to know what's motivating me to do this again. I told him. "My love for you, and the desire to be healthier and stronger, so that I can live with him longer. So that we can enjoy a beautiful life together, and grow older together, and not apart." He started to cry, as well as I.

We are ready to take this journey. Our journey will have it's ups and downs. As well as when you say "I Do". Marriage is what you both endure and compromise is what keeps you together with the knowing that in the end. With sheet determination and the motivation of each other. All is possible. 

I run two businesses now. BeautiControl and BodyBiVi. I also work full time as a nurse. If anyone needs to stay fit? It's the nursing field! Why? Because you can let the company take you to a level you don't like, or you can work your way to staying fit with stamina some how. Believe me when I say this. I'm always asked. Why do nurses get fat? It's all about the person. What's motivating them to leave work and stay healthy. Sometimes? Most the time? We are so tired that we just find comfort in food. Not what we should do. And obesity is a major issue in nursing. Millions of deaths a year due to obesity. Why? It doesn't have to be that way. 

So I ask. Who is your motivation? Find out what or who motivates you. I would love to be a motivation for someone. I want to show you that even though I'm in remission from cancer, and I have early stage CHF, as well as bone and blood disorders and no immune system. I'm a fighter. You can be too! You just need a push. So, how can I help 3 people to start? How I can I show you or tell you that BodyBiVi is what your next step is?

Cheap Or Worth It

When I was younger I worried more about keeping my youth. I can remember in 5th grade. I had a friend that couldn't understand why I would buy "cheap" makeup... I can remember laughing while she would just go on and on about her $20 foundation. It was noticeable how she had been taught to think. That was ok. I had problems, at times with Acne, and didn't want one area to pit my face. So, I was more into skin care. Always making sure I had the best in skin care. Today? That friend is still on top with everything.

90 Days and Counting

This morning our family did their weigh in. We all went our ways this morning. I have a few things to pick up. Things to add (healthy) to the meals they would like like to have with their shakes. Vegetables, and fruits, yogurts... All easy items to retrieve. 

They are all, as all I, deciding how much weight they want to lose. Jars are set up and decorated with "Pounds to lose", and "Lost Weight".... Everyone is excited! 

With that said. Everyone has their own bottle of Sculpt & Firm, and Firming Spray. As a family, we sat down and worked out times to apply the Sculpt & Firm and Firming Spray, since it has energy boosters in them.

Love Your Skin

Summer/Fall Ready?

It's sad that as I sit here on my deck. Drinking a nice cold Mt Dew. How Summer has come to a close. I'm torn.

I LOVE Summer. I love the sun. I love the heat and the air that it brings. What I don't like, is the thought of the cold coming back, and it getting darker earlier.

Bullied Part IV

Lately we have been having issues with the busing system in the school district. Keep in mind that we have been here for 4 years, and all of a sudden... We have problems! 

As much as I will try to not make this racial. It may be difficult. My point, before I begin, is that kids are not all kids are obese because they are lazy, or just don't want to get out and play anymore. Grant, that this is one of our major issues in the USA. Obesity is a major topic of discussion. However, we are going to discuss my daughter, and how she has been bullied by several black girls on the bus. 

My daughter is heavy set. She just took after her family genes, can't help that to a degree. She is a hypothyroid. She's also been dealing with depression from the accident where she lost her best friend in her lap a year ago. So, my daughter is battling to opposite ends of a middle that is growing. 

My daughter takes Synthroid and Zoloft. She's active in ColorGuard and work. Not accounting for school. Here's where the BodyBiVi comes in.

2 days after school started. My daughter, keep in mind, does not ride the busin the AM. Due to ColorGuard practice being at 6:30am everyday. I work, have the car, and she has to ride the bus in the afternoon. She and her best friend get on the bus and are asked to assign themselves a seat. No problem right? They pic #26.. Upon writing their names on the assigned seat, these two black girls come back to the seat and tell my daughter and her friend to get out. My daughter, finding her voice. Says no. We assigned ourselves this seat. The two black girls go up to the bus driver. Basically threaten the bus driver, and scratch my daughter and her friends name off the seat chart and place theirs on it. The bus driver, wanting no problems, asked my daughter and her friend to move. Wrong in all aspects right? Not as far as the school is concerned.

Contacted the school and explained how my daughter and her friend would be carrying pepper spray and a taser if this continued. I finally get a phone call, after they speak to my daughter at school. And tell her that her assigned seat is #17.. Okay, solved right? Nope!

They get on the bus that afternoon, and here we go again. 2 friends of these other black girls in seat #26.. Tell my daughter and her gf how they need to get out of their seat. Once again, my daughter finds her voice. So, I call the school again. Now! All of a sudden the school doesn't want the TV crews out there even though this late incident on the bus ended between the girls with the 4 now black girls telling my daughter they will get her when she gets off that bus. 

So, lets talk about the comments that were made to my daughter. "She's a fat honkey bitch that doesn't even ride in the AM" "you fat bitch, you don't ride this bus all the time. You take a seat that's open when you ride" is this acceptable behavior now? I've not taught my kids to be racist. I've taught my children to love everyone, and accept people for who they are. 

After this last incident I've taken my daughter off the bus, and I've started her and I on the BodyBiVi. 2 shakes a day, and one sensible meal. Have 3 people join you and receive your next month product free. So, that's 3 months of free product. How can you go wrong? You can't!

Bullied Part III

PI was talking to my son tonight. If you have read my last two Bullying posts, this will make sense. 

As we were talking and walking around Barnes & Nobel, I see he picks up a book "Twisted".... Reading the cover of the book. It really angered me. Why would my want to read this? Interesting.

He told me that he is thankful for my help in getting his Acne under control. How he no longer gets made fun of about his Acne. How it use to be from his face down to his trunk and he no longer has to feel like he doesn't belong. For those that haven't read the book. I'd suggest getting the book "Twisted" and guiding your child through the book. Also, I highly recommend the movie Bully. It shows how cruel kids can be, and how we as parents can take just one small step to change things.

Love Your Nails?

Daring To Bare Challenge

Some people are just not comfortable in their own skin. What I have not completely understood is why? 

I know when I was younger, coming from a small town, and small minded people. They alone kept my self esteem low. Those people in my small town class have no idea what damage they did, nor cared about how they broke me down. Not until my 7th grade year. When I took it upon myself to take charge of myself. 

My mom was shy. My father was the cop of the town. I had no fighting chance right? Especially an over protective dad. I went for it! I decided to take charge of my body, and my life. Did I do everything the right way? No! Did I gain a voice and a body that I loved? Yes! Did I give myself the ability to be that natural person on those days when I felt it? Yes! Easy on the eyes and very pouty lip appeal? You bet!

Sun Burnt 24 Hours

Yesterday was a bad sunburn day. Posted my pic of my face... No, my body did not get burnt. It did however get darker. I'm definitely a nice chocolate latte... Loving it... Only because of BeautiControl. 

The first day we were in Clearwater, I used an accelerator. It's the only way my skin will remotely tan. Or I'm out there for the fun of it and get nothing. So, accelerator on, and I've got it going on. Little red, and it's gone by morning. Then we have our drive down to Siesta Key. Settle in and off to the beach I go. Yep! Burnt! However, no worries. I've got all my Skin Care products with me. I'm placing on my Pedi Creme, and Body Creme by BeautiControl. Next day it's nice and dark all over. Love my skin, and my husband can't believe it either. So, he asked, can you put that on me? Sure! 

Gave him the same treatment as myself and what do you know. He's a nice tanned man. He's definitely a ginger, and burns easy. But, I kept his skin safe and nourished. 

Today's follow up pic is awesome. Yes, just got up. But, I wanted to post the results. Retinol in our products is awesome. My face looks great! No peeling on my face, and it's ready for all that I have in store for it today. 

I'm a sun lover, and I love to be tanned. Haven't went to the tanning bed in 4 yrs now. So, the sun is all I have. Our products keep the skin nourished, silky and smooth.

Sun Burnt

So, today my husband decided we needed another day at the ocean... Yes. We wound up Sun Burnt! Lol, right?

Well, lets see how this works out for me with my BeautiControl... Not testing my products. I know they work. What I want to know is how much can it repair in 24 hours. 

So, I placed on my Microdermabrasion for Face, and because I took a plane. I didn't have my Abrasion Tool. So, I used a wash cloth. Wow! I don't know that this was smart. But, lets move forward. Removed the dead skin and took a shower. Toweled off easily, and placed on my Defend & Restore Lotion. Stung for 2 seconds, and then WOW! My face felt awesome. Placed on my makeup. Used my concealer, to hide the skin I couldn't get removed. It worked awesome! 

Came home from dinner. Dreaded to take off my makeup. Face just knew it was going to hurt. Lol... However, here I went.  

Made sure my wash cloth was lukewarm, and placed on my pea size drop of Purifying Cleansing Gel. Rubbed lightly over my face. Felt rough, but I furthered the dead skin off. Not all, but most. Placed on my Extreme Tight Firm & Fill for eyes and face. Wow! Sting heaven for about 5 seconds and then relief! It feels awesome! I then took our Retinol capsules and placed it on my nose and forehead. Here is what my face looks like now...

Lets see what the morning brings. I know there will be improvement, just how much.... Product talk... 

Beautiful You

Good Morning everyone. What a gorgeous Saturday morning here in Siesta Key, FL!! 

The sun is shining and their is a wonderful breeze on our patio deck. I believe today we will go to the ocean, relax, and I'm taking all my products to the beach to Spa... Why?

Some ppl are very interested in taking care of their skin. The sun causes damage and makes us age more quickly. So, who better to show how to not have sun damage to their skin, and still enjoy the sun, than those men/women on the beach. 

Spa Bright is what I use. Place Spa bright on areas that currently show signs of sun damage, and watch those areas reduce when I apply it. It's immediate results. I had a spot on my cheek, and it's gone due to Spa Bright. Any age spots on your hands and face? Place a dab of Spa Bright on it and watch is reduce instantly.

Lip Apeel

I'm thankful this TGIF for BeautiControl and their famous Lip Apeel. I received much sun yesterday, and simply put? Dehydrated. I woke up at 2:44am EST, with one very swollen bottom lip... 

I immediately got up, and placed on my Lip Apeel, took off the dead skin, and put on the moisturizer. Thank goodness. I woke back up and my lip has gone down immensely! 

There was a lot of dead skin on my lips from the sun yesterday. Only moisturizing one time with BeautiControl Lip Balm with SPF 20, didn't help my case. So, back in my purse goes the LipApeel and it will be used frequently today. 

Jumping in the shower and then utilizing my BeautiControl Detox products to moisturize and rid some extra spots that got red. I'll be in great shape for what the day brings today.

Sun?

This week we are on vacation in Florida. We started in Clearwater, and have been in Siesta Key since Wednesday. Needless to say, the first day we retained a very warm, red body. Thank goodness for Detox Clarify Mask, and Detox Body Spray, and my facial program. Why do I say that?

The sun is very damaging to skin, when not appropriately exposed to, or enjoyed for the need of Sun. Our skin gets damaged, therefore, we need the Sun, but in the appropriate fashion.

Did you know that the sun gives us Vitamin D? Why do we need Vitamin D? Energy, rregeneration of skin cells, and re-production of blood cells. 

When you decide to stay out in the sun, be respectful to the Sun. Know what your limits are. One? Staying hydrated. When we drink items like beer and mixed drinks? We dehydrate more quickly. Alcohol, a product of wheat/barley giving us a natural diuretic, but dehydrating your skin. Giving your skin dried, wrinkled skin.

If you don't have good BeautiControl products! You can continue to dehydrate your skin. Only BeautiControl can re-hydrate and keep your skin free of wrinkles... Because of the UV rays and what the heat Index is. Why are BeautiControl products so excellent? 

The first day in Clearwater, on the beach, drinking Mt Dew and then going to the bar and having mixed drinks and beer. Led to dehydration.. So, I grabbed bottles of water. Placed the Detox Mask on my face. Let it dry, and felt the heat come right out of my face... It felt amazing! No longer feeling the heat and sting on my face. Using lukewarm water to remove the mask. Placing the lukewarm washcloth over my face and wiping it off gently. Feeling the Detox Mask take the heat right out of my face. Saving my face from deep wrinkles. Once I rinsed and patted dry! Applied the Daily Defend Moisturizer. Heat is out of my face and I spray on the Detox Body/Face Spray giving me a nice, glowing tan. Feels great! 

But wait! What about my body? It's very HOT, red, stinging...I've got my Detox Bath & Body. Wash and rinse. Apply the Detox Body Lotion and feel the cooling affect and the heat come right out. What about my feet? Wash & Rinse your feet. Soak in Therapeutic  Minerals, and place the foot salve on your feet. Wrap them up, with cling, wait 30min. Then rinse and place on the Detox body spray... Allow to dry, and feel the heat release. 

Lips too! They can dehydrate and plump out in an instant with pain. STOP! Take the Lip Apeel, apply before going outside. And re-apply with exfoliating before going to bed. 

Our lips and body are precious. Don't allow the Sun to damage your lips. We owe it to ourselves to keep our skin Young and Youthful.
