Google over Doctors?

Interesting statement tonight. "People use Google for their Health Needs, versus a Professional Doctor"..... Is this true for you? If so, why?

When it comes to your health, what makes Google more important than a Professional Doctor. Have we grown to a reliability level with all the information available to us through the Internet?

Have we grown to get that second opinion from the Doctor, to Google being our Second Opinion? What makes you use one or both.

Being a Nurse, I was once totally into my Doctor and his/her opinions. What I failed to remember was Nursing 101.. Doctors are here to help. Most meds are for temporary use. Not long term. Why? Due to what Doctors really expect out of you as a patient.

How many times has a doctor looked at you, and said: "if you can focus on managing your health, you can reduce the possibilities of this disease growing I to a complication." I've heard it so much, yet we find ourselves not paying attention. As a Nurse, it's frustrating to see that a simple lifestyle change can stop a Health Issue from continuing to kill you in the end.

Obesity is not just an Epidemic. It is now, as of January 2014, Obesity was labeled a Disease. Question is, how many of you care that you are an Obesity Stastic? How many of you say "I have to die from something". How many of you really do want to see the future and what is holds for you? I know I do.

I don't want to be a Stastic. I want to live to see my children, grow up, get married, have kids, and watch their lives Evolv. Because each new change? That's a whole new chapter in their Journey of life. If you didn't think of it this way. Think about it now.

Heart Disease is the #1 killer secondary to Obesity. Diabetes #2 killer secondary to Obesity. Does anyone understand what Secondary means? It means that your Primary Diagnosis is Obesity, and with Obesity, you acquired Heart Disease, Diabetes, Cancer etc....

I ask you again. What is the primary priority when it comes to the Doctor giving you a diagnosis. Do you take what your Dr says to do to heart? Or do you use Google to advise you in the ways to better health.

You want to get healthy, and see the future with your family. I encourage you to click into our site. Watch the video, and decide for yourself. Google can give you many different opinions. What's the primary opinion you use?
