Healthy Is Key

In January 2014, did you start a diet? How long did it last? Did you tell yourself and others you were "on a diet?" The word DIET, to your mind alone, will discourage you. Amazing how one word can discourage your efforts. So, let's change the word to healthier lifestyle.

What is a healthier lifestyle. Making better decisions as to what you eat and drink. How is this different than "diet?" Think about being out with friends. You want to eat and have a glass of wine, or a beer. In your head, you keep saying, "no, I'm on a diet." Restricting in your mind what you believe you can have.

When a healthier lifestyle is in place. You make better decisions. You know it's okay to go out with friends. You change how you order. Or you change how much you eat. There is nothing wrong with taking home leftovers. Be prepared, as we will show you how to change your eating habits. While enjoying each and every meal you eat. Let's get started.

I've been on every "diet" out on the market. When I was in 6th grade, I was sent to Weight Watchers. Kept the weight within 5 to 10 pounds from original weigh in, until after my 1st child was born. I then tried Herbalife. Worked well until I quit. All the weight returned. Along came child #2. Imagine 35 pounds back on and another 30 pounds from being pregnant. I weighed in at 198 pounds the day of delivery with my 2nd child. I was disgusted, and highly depressed. I couldn't bare another "diet". 3rd child came along. I was complete with child bearing and it was time to live for me, and the welfare of my kids. So, what was I going to do?  I tried every "diet" available. As a Nutritional Health Nurse. I was going to further research why I was not succeeding.

Many health concerns play a major role in how you do or do not lose weight. As well, whether you are able or not to exercise. What I learned is that "diet" is a very damaging word to the mind. It turns the mind and then body to say, "Hey! Your depriving me or good food." You go out and you start saying, no, I'm on a "diet". The body and mind work together to say, forget it! Eat what you want. Next thing you know? You are no longer "dieting." You have given up, and your back to eating like you did. Not taking into account any weightloss you may have had. Or inches you lost. Therefore, gaining back more than what you started at. The vicious cycle has began. Time to get off the roller coaster. Let's get a healthier lifestyle.
