Obesity Linked to Heart Attacks & Stroke

Year after Year, the Studies come out with recent information on Obesity & Heart Attacks. As well, those linked with Strokes. The studies are clear, and evident. The question doctors and nurses desire to know is, how do these studies come out, and they be ignored? I can answer this question simply. We do not believe it will happen to us. In reality, we do not know what will happen in the future. We do know that we can prevent these happenings.

Many of us have no idea what the current signs and symptoms are. Or, how to prevent the happenings. Many do not know that family history is key to their future. Remember the saying? "history repeats itself."

Heart Attacks are the leading death due to Obesity. Obesity is notated, when the body is 20% above proper weight with height ratio. Example: you are 5'7" and you weigh 210 pounds. You are more than 20% above weight & height ratio. How does that play into Heart Disease? We will review your family history and weigh the risks. Per the lab work, and assessment to your health. All factors will come into play. You are thinking, I have tried everything, and nothing works for me. As a nurse, I have came across several older men and women who have said, "you have to die of something." As we are all aware that we will pass this earth from something. Did we do everything that we could, to treat our body to the best of our ability?

It becomes more evident how we have over aggressive people to their health. Then, there are those that just have no control over their weight & health. We all are aware of those who truly do not care. I have sadly seen at least one, in my own family. There is always one that just does not comply with a doctor or a nutritionist.

As those links are comeing together. Where does someone begin? How do we choose what is best for our bodies to assist with losing weight. Start with not saying your on a diet. As you research yourself, and where to begin. Start by asking yourself. What am I willing to do, right now to change. Am I willing to make a lifestyle change.
