Rosey Red Cheeks & Snow

Waking up one chilly, cold morning. The house is dark, so I get a match to light the oil lamp. Notice the glow from the oil lamp, a silhouette. I reach for my robe, and quickly place it around my arms. Wrapping up with a blanket, and placing on my boots, a light breath can be seen. The fire has fallen low in the fireplace, and the children appear snuggled tight. I look out the window, snow is glistening across the glass. I open the door, and to my eyes a beautiful, light snowfall has begun.  Coming off the porch I'm reminded of being a child and enjoying a glorious moment in the snow. Giddiness upon me, I want to dance in the falling snow. Time is going by as I'm dancing in the snowfall to the shed for wood. Unnoticeably, my three children are upon the porch giggling, while wrapped individually in their covers. Still dancing and have not yet noticed the children. Looking up to the sky, dawn has broke, and the sky is wide open. As if the Heavens had opened up. Stopping, observing the silence of the moment as the snow falls upon my face. Presence of God opens my spirit to the joy of 3 children laughing at their mother. Hands full of wood, I drop the wood, as all three children come running into my arms. My knees fall into the snow and wrap my arms around all three kids. Picking up all three children, notice their rosey red cheeks, and bright red noses. Light of day opens the invitation to begin our morning together with appreciation. Snuggled by the fire, everyone wrapped neatly and warm. We snuggle, and speak about what we are grateful for. While sipping on our cups of hot chocolate, we warmed our hearts and souls. A blessed morning, and forever memories made.

May everyone have a blessed Thanksgiving. Thank you for the read, and may everyone feel the love of a story.
