What Is Your Why?

Why do you get up every day, and go to the same job? Day in, and day out. What motivates you to do what you do? Is it the money? Is it just "what you know to do"? Is it that you just can't see a bigger picture? What is your why, for not doing more for yourself? 

We all understand that money is what makes the world go round. Is it your motivation? Do you really love what you do? Do you enjoy being away from your family and kids? Do you enjoy working, just to survive? If so, this blog is not what you want to hear. 

I have worked since I was 13yrs old. I'll never forget getting my first earned week paycheck. I thought I was rich beyond belief. It made me strive to do more and work more. Go to College and get out there and work my body to death. Now at the ripe age of 42. Death is what I was facing. I had literally worked so hard and so much, that I was not only burnt out. I was no longer happy with life. I was completely willing to just throw it all away and no longer live. I no longer had a "why". Then I realized the one thing I had totally forgotten the day I was baptized. I was to live to please The Lord. I was placed on this earth to not only make myself happy, but The Lord happy. I wasn't doing either. I was miserable. 

As I was facing the Drs recommendation to either look at another round of Chemo/Radiation, I had decided right then I was done. Life was over and I was so unhappy. Blaming everyone and just completely outraged. Then the moment of truth hit me. I'm suppose to be happy and living through Gods word. His will! So, I could sit here and just give up. Or I could fight with all I had about me. 

Everyone these days wants to live, love and laugh. For all the right reasons. We are human. We should be enjoying life and being thankful to The Lord for all that he has done for us. What was it that was going to make me happy? It wasn't about money. What did/do I enjoy that will make me happy. Why do I want to do what I'm about to tell you. 

I wanted to be my own boss for several reasons. I have always worked for someone else. As a nurse you don't work for just the employer. You work for the people you take care of. They pay you! Not the employer. See, your employer is making money off the people you take care of. That employer doesn't give 2 cracks about that person we are devoting our every day life to. They just want their money, and they want you to kiss that customers ass to see to it they are happy and the family is happy. What about my happiness? See, in the world of nursing. No one cares about you! Not even the person your taking care of. They firmly believe that you should bow down and do anything and everything for them. Because they are the ones paying your bills. Not your employer. Being a nurse means you care about helping others. As much as I enjoyed helping the sick, elderly and children. It didn't matter how much you cared. Did they respect you? Some! Not everyone does. It was time for me to step away. The employer no longer gave 2 cracks about that person who was dieing in front of my eyes. They were already working on who was going into that room immediately upon death, so they could keep the cash cow coming in. Sickening right? That's our world people. Your not a person at that the point your a patient. Your a dollar figure. It was time for me to move on. Be my own boss and find my why.

I did find my why. After many days of speaking to The Lord and asking him to give me guidance and direction. He spoke to me. He told me that I love people for them being people. That is true! I love people for who they are, and they are not a dollar figure. They have a heart. Heart of gold, heart of stone, a heart of what ifs. Many people don't see this. Don't take the time to just look at a person and say, your a person too! It was time for me to make a difference for someone else. Work for my happiness. 

Today, I love being alive. I thank The Lord every day/night for giving me another chance to help someone else. Our health is vitally important. For me to have almost gave up and became a patient, who would have been someone else's dollar figure? I don't think so! It's time for me to help other people not be a dollar figure. That starts with your health. Change of subject real quick.

In return, I am doing Gods work, and I'm returning that back to the church. Why? He saved me. He washed my sins away. He suffered on that cross for me to live. In the end. As stated earlier, it's NOT about being a "millionaire." It's my why that keeps me going. I desire to help others live, love and laugh. 

Live for you! Stop doing the same thing day in and day out, if you don't love what you do. Be your own boss. Be who you want to be. 

Ived missed out on soo much with my kids because bosses don't care about you! You worked me to the ground and hoped I would keep doing it for YOU! No! If I would have kept going? It would have been for the people! Because I only cared about them. I missed Birthdays, Holidays, my kids first steps. I've literally missed out on their growing up stages. Because I didn't place my life into prospective of how family is more important. Fifteen years I dedicated my life to companies that didn't care about their employees. 

See, you may not believe that your not working in an MLM company. YOU ARE! Your just the employee. You are working for a company that only provides you with ONE thing. The one thing that holds people to do the same thing day in and day out. Security! Guess what? You dont have SECURITY anymore in your job. Anyone can do your job. There are hundreds of fresh college grads that are out there looking to take your job. There are 16-25 yr olds out there getting the picture of life in the network marketing world, and who are living the fullest of lives. We don't know all there whys. Life's Changes

Coffee Saved My Life!

It's been a while since I blogged. I'm back, and it's time to share where and what I have been to up lately. 

If your not aware, I was facing another round of either Chemo/Radiation. I couldn't do it again. I was ready to just let Gods will be. I had lost all fight within me. Growing You

Have you had that surreal moment? That moment when you just realize this is it! Wow! How did this just hit me. Why? You weren't ready to see it. That moment was last night for myself. 

I'm sitting at an Olive Garden. Watching these wonderful, precious young ladies become women. They are heading off to college. Receiving their awards. Listening to the parents. Speaking about what all we do for a living. All of a sudden, your being asked. How do you stay at home, work from home, keep your sanity and run after 3 kids with 2 more in college. 

Simple! Time Management. It just blurted out of my mouth, and literally smacked me in the face. One, I just said that. Two, what was I thinking to blurt. Three, oh! Here comes more questions. 

I'm eating my dinner, and finally we hit a point of no talk. I'm like yes! Oh no! I get embarrassed sometimes easily. Even more easily when having a glass of wine. Of which I had to have with Pasta. Monday Mornings!

Its 5:30 am, and it's time to get up, and get the week started. Not everyone is ready for Monday though. Routine, get up. Coffee has already brewed and it nice to smell the aroma. Refreshing

It's the first day of June! What a beautiful day. My daughter and I attended church, and was that refreshing. The youth group conducted church today. What was refreshing about it? 

To see over 100 youth age groups 14-20, playing instruments, singing, rocking the love of God. Noting that they couldn't be free without the love of God, and our Veterans. Very loving, and touching time in church today. Feeling lost, low on life, or feeling empty? Follow your heart and find God. First step. 

I'm feeling very refreshed and ready to kick off SUMMER! I know! Kickoff was Memorial Day. Didn't quite feel it on that day. Point is, today is the day! Rejoice and Live!

Since March of this year, I have fought to be healthy. I'm winning that fight. I'm able to digest food, have increased energy, and be with my kids daily. 80 Days Completed!

I am so excited! I've completed 80 Days of my e84 Journey. I cannot wait to reveal the new me! What is hard to convey, it's not just about my body. 80 Days ago I began a journey that I honestly didn't believe I could stay with. I've done everything regarding "diets". What this is though, is NOT a "diet." It's just what I said earlier, a JOURNEY. Quit the fun one too. 

As you have read. I've set out with my family on this journey. But, for me, we all had individual journeys too. Back in January, 2014. I was told to prepare for the inevitable! No longer being able to walk. No longer able to work. No longer able to be alive. Face it, the doctors told me. No! I wasn't gojng to just "face it." I am a 3 time Cancer Patient. I've battled it 3 times. Over a course of 14 years. I've mastered to acquire 4 degrees during those 14 years, and work. Being told that I was facing another round of chemo/radiation. I shouted "NO"! I told my doctors that they could give up. I wasn't giving up. Let me back up. The month of February, I contemplated giving up. 

What did I need to prove any longer? I had shown my kids that if you want to live, go for your dreams. I told my children ages 20, 17, & 15. You guys are grown. You know what you want out of life. You know that you have to work to get what you want. You can choose to work for someone else. Receive that paycheck, and make other people money. Or you can work for yourself, and make yourself happy. You chose. I have taught my children to stay close to each other, and take care of each other. Even after I'm gone. So, yes. I have an awesome best friend, Rhonda. She is also on her own e84 Journey. Rhonda and I are both Nurses, and we are stubborn to the bone. She too was told your done. You can't keep this up, and face it. We talked about it. We didn't think the same way. She's always positive. Always makes you look at the bigger picture. 5 More Days

Calming Down

Network marketing has been in my blood since I was 18yrs old. My dad was a door to door salesman for a while in his career. I just kind of picked up the knack, and noted it as a quality.

There Will Be Haters

Everyone has a story, and I've blogged and YouTubed mine. Funny part? You always have that ONE HATER! The one I have just literally goes out of his way to blog his hatred on every post I make. Funny. Guess he has no life. 

Let me tell you what's even more enjoyable about this mans hatred. To pick me as your one to bash? I'm flattered, Mr Larry Deahl! What you don't know about me, makes this all the more fun to keep you looking like the ass that you are showing. I don't feel sorry for you. I encourage you to keep up what thrills you the most. That's obviously bashing my businesses. 

Funny part? I'm not in these businesses to make money, as you so threw out there.  I'm in to HELP PEOPLE! What you see is unreal in your comments. You do leave me humor to end my day. So, while your sitting at your boring little IT job. I'm out meeting people and discussing their lives and how they need just a little bit of guidance in their life. Because that's what I do. 

So, as you lay miserable, which is unfortunate. I see your comments and laugh all the way. While helping the next person who really wants and deserves my help. What's sad? You let it be known, through your bashing of my businesses, how miserable your life is.

Suffering? There Is HOPE

On May 13, 2014, we blogged about your monthly period. What many do not want to discuss. Yet, it's advertised all over the TV daily. That is... your period! Part II begins.

This was me from age 13 to 15. I had been taken to my local MD. He prescribed 800mg of Ibuprofen 4 times a day for 7 days. Every month, this was the ritual. It did nothing to help the 3 days max I missed each month. What was the next step? Back then, there were not many answers. The next step, as a teenager, was one that scared me then. Yet, being a nurse, I understood it more over time. 

My local Doctor explained how the answer was Birth Control. No explanation on how this would help me, nor how my body would change. The next month came, and it was time to begin the next phase of my life. Little did I know that I would no longer be in pain, much less have little to nothing of a period. I couldn't believe this was for real. 2 years of suffering, and Birth Control was the answer? Like I said, little was known then what harm that could do to a teenager. I lost weight. I couldn't stomach the smell or taste of meat. I had dropped so much weight over the period of the first 3 months, that I looked sick. I felt better during that time of the month. Hardly knew it existed. The damage was already in place. For 3 more years I was blessed with no monthly pain, and known as the first in my class to be on birth control. As if I wanted that on my head. It was done. Girls in my class asking if I was sexually active. Did I feel safer now. As vocal as I was. You can just imagine how these conversations did not go so well. I was the type that if you were not in my business, I would not be in yours. I felt violated, and relieved at the same time. Birth Control plays with your emotions, and your thinking ability. What was about to occur next in my life would be an eye opener. 

I got married at the age of 18. By the age of 19, I had been off the Birth Control, and was wanting a family. Going of the Birth Control hit my body hard. Excruciating pain every month. Missing work, not able to function, and luckily I worked a job that gave me sick time and vacation time each month. Seeking out a specialist in OB was a must. Does Your Period Take You Over?

Amazing! What People Don't Understand

What am I talking about right! It's Monday, and I've got some time to myself, so I wanted to share a thought.
